What We Collect

Bible Companion is designed to respect your privacy. We collect as little as possible:

• No account required. You do not need to create an account to use this app.
• No personal information. We do not ask for your name, email, age, or any identifying information.
• Session data only. Your conversations exist in your browser session. They are not stored on our servers beyond the life of your request.
• Rate limiting. We track your IP address temporarily (resets daily) to enforce fair-use limits. This is not stored permanently and is not associated with your identity.

Your Conversations

When you type a message, it is sent to our server and passed to a cloud AI model for a response. This means:

• Your message leaves your device to generate a response.
• We do not log, store, or review your conversations.
• The AI provider (OpenCode) processes your message according to their own privacy policy. Do not share sensitive personal information you would not want processed by a third party.
• If you use the app offline (no internet), your message stays entirely on your device.

Crisis Resources

If you type messages that indicate you may be in crisis, this app will show you crisis hotline information immediately — without sending your message to an AI. These resources are displayed locally from our server. No crisis-related message is logged or stored.

This app is not a substitute for professional mental health support. If you are in crisis, please contact a crisis line, mental health professional, or emergency services.

Cookies and Tracking

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, analytics scripts, or advertising tools. There is no third-party tracking on this app.

Children

This app is intended for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please use this app with a parent or guardian.

Changes to This Policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will update the date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
